The delegation came from a community association of Punjab province in Pakistan. The women and men are also responsible for the concerns of supply and disposal in their district. They were very interested in the subject of waste treatment, especially since a new plant is being built in Punjab. Every day, 800,000 tonnes of household waste are generated in the region. After an English lecture, everyone got a dust mask, safety vest and helmet and viewed to the processing halls of the mechanical-biological treatment plant including the processing for refuse-derived-fuel. The delegation, whose trip was organized by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), was very interested in the exact process of waste treatment in the MBA. As a thank you, Mayor Fauzia Khalid handed over a glass plaque to Angelika Schiffer of the MBA. Head of delegation Himayatullah Mayar was pleased to mark Pakistan with a flag on the world map in the lecture room.
